What is Task Engine and what can it do for me?

Purpose of Task Engine...

Its purpose is to perform batches of T-SQL tasks as optimally as possible, using a smart mix of parallel and sequential tasks.

Task Engine takes into account:

• CPU load;
• Dependencies between tasks;
• Extra priority for a subset of tasks (Fast Lane function).

• Self-learning: execution time optimization based on the average durations;
